Thiophilic adsorption kit and thiophilic resin

Popis: Thiophilic adsorption or thiophilic chromatography is a routinely used technique for the low cost, simple purification of immunoglobulins. Thiophilic adsorption was first developed by Porath et al in 1984 and is a group specific, salt-dependent purification technique that has distinct affinity towards immunoglobulins and α2- macroglobulins. The thiophilic adsorption works on the principle that some proteins in high salt are able to bind to an immobilised ligand that contains a sulfone group in proximity to a thioether group. The bound proteins are then eluted in decreasing salt concentrations. The thiophilic resin binds immunoglobulins, including IgG, IgY and IgM, from serum, ascites or tissue culture supernatants and the purified immunoglobulins are then eluted in a near neutral aqueous buffer.

Mag-Bind® Plant DNA DS 96 kit

Popis: The Mag-Bind® Plant DNA DS 96 Kit is designed for difficult samples (DS) which are hard to lyse or contain high amounts of polysaccharides and polyphenols. The system uses a CTAB-based lysis buffer which does not require organic solvents. The proprietary binding system prevents inhibitors from binding to the magnetic beads. The wash buffer system further removes polysaccharides, phenolic compounds and enzyme inhibitors from plant tissue lysate. An optional rebinding step is included with the kit but most samples do not require the additional treatment.

Glycine is a non-essential amino acid. It is only amino acid with no asymmetric carbon and thus is not chiral. It is the major inhibitory neurotransmitter. It is involved in the biosynthesis of the porphyrin rings of hemes and chlorophylls.
Glycine is commonly used in buffer solutions, in electrophoresis and preparative chromatography. A study of the folding of monoclonal antibodies in the presence of glycine and their subsequent purification has been published. The use of glycine in the purification of lipopolysaccharides, lipooligosaccharides, and lipid A has been reported. It is an amino acid for use in cell culture media development applications and existing media formulations. Glycine is commonly used as a component in Tris-glycine and Tris-glycine-SDS running buffers for polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, a component of Towbin's transfer buffer for Western blots, a buffer substance in cryoenzymology, in osmotic pressure maintenance in isoelectric focusing of erythrocytes, salting-in effect in protein chemistry, and as a buffer component in the coupled phosphatase-kinase reaction for end labelling of restriction fragments. The growth requirements of various microorganisms is reported in the Handbook of Microbiology.

Mag-Bind® Plant DNA plus kit

Popis: The Mag-Bind® Plant DNA 96 plus kit allows rapid and reliable isolation of high-quality genomic DNA from a wide variety of difficult to lyse and high polysaccharide plant species and tissues. The system utilises a CTAB-based lysis buffer without the need for a chloroform or other organic solvent steps. The proprietary wash buffer systems eliminate polysaccharides, phenolic compounds, and enzyme inhibitors from plant tissue lysates. This kit is designed for manual or fully automated high throughput preparation of genomic, chloroplast, and mitochondrial DNA. The Mag-Bind® Plant DNA plus kit also provides greater flexibility than silica plate based systems as partial plates can be used and can be scaled up to a 24-well format with the appropriate magnetic stand. The streamlined protocol can be easily adapted on most robotic liquid handling platforms. Purified DNA is suitable for PCR, qPCR, restriction digestion, hybridisation applications, as well as more demanding applications, such as RAPD.
