SOXTHERM® units are automatic and fully programmable extraction equipment for the determination of fat in foodstuffs, including dairy, cereals, fruit, meat, and chocolate. In addition, the Soxtherm can be used as an early stage extraction process in the determination of pollutants in environmental samples, such as pesticides, PCB, phenols, dioxins and additives for plastics. The equipment has been designed to handle volatile solvents safely and economically. The safety features also include a glass front door that opens and closes automatically upon start or end of programme and illuminated glass beakers, which allow easy visual inspection of the extraction progress.
